As the latest in our think tank’s collaboration with the Konrad Adenauer Stiftung (KAS), RSC Director Richard Giragosian served as a senior trainer for KAS Georgia’s Academy of Political Education in a three-day training and role play simulation exercise held in Yerevan from 25-27 August.
Bringing together some 23 of Georgia’s “best and brightest” students and young professionals, the training was an element of the KAS Georgia “Politics and Bargaining 2025” project. Organized by Shorena Gharibashvili of the KAS Tbilisi Office, with facilitation by Giorgi Odoshashvili of Ilia State University and Ketevan Rokva of KAS Georgia and Tbilisi State University, Giragosian joined Tbilisi State University Professor Kornely Kakachia for the event.
The three-day training, entitled “Geopolitical Shifts in the Black Sea and South Caucasus: Power, Security and transformation,” was comprised of three plenary sessions focusing on regional security challenges and architecture, connectivity and independence, and global powers in the region, with an interactive role play simulation exercise on South Caucasus stability and cooperation.
