The Regional Studies Center (RSC) convened the latest monthly analytical briefing on 6 December 2022, with a timely assessment by RSC Director Richard Giragosian focusing on the state of diplomacy between Armenia and Azerbaijan, the outlook for Armenia-Turkey “normalization,” and the broader issues of Armenian-Russian relations (especially after the CSTO summit in Yerevan) and Western (EU and US) engagement in the region.
Participants included diplomatic representatives from the EU Delegation to Armenia, the Canadian, Czech, Polish, Romanian and UK Embassies, officials from the United Nations (UN), Asian Development Bank (ADB), Armenian civil society organizations, and an elected official from the municipal government of the Yerevan City Council, as well as visitors from the National Endowment for Democracy (NED) in Washington.
As an independent “think tank” in Armenia, the RSC offers a regular monthly series of interactive briefings for the diplomatic community and international organizations, providing objective analysis of political, economic and security developments in Armenia and the broader South Caucasus region.
