22-24 DECEMBER 2020
As an independent “think tank,” the Regional Studies Center (RSC) provides a monthly series of “Closed Briefings” with RSC Director Richard Giragosian offering a concise analytical presentation of the most significant political, economic and foreign policy developments in Armenia and the broader region over the previous month.
Given the demand for an updated assessment of developments, the RSC offered two online sessions as a follow-up to our previous briefing earlier in the month. These two follow-up briefings for the diplomatic community and international organizations were held on 22 and 24 December 2020.
For these two follow-up December briefings, the RSC was pleased to have a group of over two dozen participants, including the Ambassadors from Italy, Lithuania, Switzerland and Sweden, diplomatic staff from the European Commission (in Brussels), the European Union Delegation to Armenia, the Embassies of Australia (based in Moscow), the Czech Republic, New Zealand (based in Ankara), Norway, Poland, and the United Kingdom, as well as representatives from various international organizations, including the United Nations, the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development Bank (EBRD).
The attached are the Analytical Notes from the briefing that was held on 22 and 24 December 2020.
