The Regional Studies Center (RSC) held its latest closed monthly briefing on February 26, providing an analysis of recent political, economic and military security trends in Armenia, but with an added focus on recent developments in Ukraine, followed by an informal “off-the-record” closed discussion.
Several senior diplomats attended the briefing, including the Argentine Ambassador Diego Ernesto Alvarez Rivera, German Ambassador Reiner Morell and his deputy Ms. Nadia Lichtenberger, Italian Ambassador Giovanni Ricciulli, Ambassador Andrey Sorokin, the head of the OSCE Office in Armenia, along with several of his OSCE staff, and officials from the Embassies of Bulgaria, France, Lithuania, Poland, Romania and the UK, as well as from the Council of Europe, the European Union Delegation to Armenia, the United Nations (UN), the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), and the International Monetary Fund (IMF).
As an independent “think tank,” the Regional Studies Center (RSC) offers this series of briefings in order to serve as more of a resource for the diplomatic community and international organizations in Armenia by providing an alternative source of objective analysis and information on a regular monthly basis.
