“Armenia has strengthened its positions in foreign policy, but much initiative is needed for maintaining these positions. Armenia’s positions became even stronger due to Azerbaijan’s mistakes,” Richard Giragosian, political analyst, director of the Yerevan-based Regional Studies Center (RSC), told a news conference in Yerevan.

Speaking about foreign policy results of 2012, Richard Giragosian mentioned end of the oligarchs’ era, successful reforms in the context of EU talks, parliamentary elections, characterizing them as “good, but not good enough”, poor socio-economic situation and unacceptable number of army incidents.
